La Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación del Perú creó el Banco de Imágenes “Yuyanapaq: Para Recordar”, cuyas fotografías narran los hechos ocurridos durante el conflicto armado en el Perú (1980-2000).
Las imágenes no cambian, pero sí los ojos que las ven es un dibujo basado en una fotografía perteneciente a dicho archivo visual, que aborda la reflexión sobre el rol que cumplen las representaciones dentro de los procesos de construcción de la memoria colectiva. A su vez, el título de éste proyecto proviene del discurso pronunciado en la presentación del citado registro fotográfico.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Peru created the Image Bank "Yuyanapaq: To Remember", whose photographs narrate the events that occurred during the internal armed conflict in Peru (1980-2000).
"Images do not change, but the eyes that see them" is a drawing based on a photograph belonging to that visual archive, which addresses the role played by representations within the processes of construction of a collective memory. In turn, the title of this project comes from the speech delivered in the presentation of the aforementioned photographic record.
