Lejos de aquí, aquí mismo

La serie de dibujos Lejos de aquí, aquí mismo se configura en las relaciones surgidas de la conexión de dos fuentes. De un lado, imágenes que extraje de archivos de prensa, relativas a conflictos socio ambientales; y de otro, una selección de fotografías personales pertenecientes a mi familia. Ambos registros fueron tomados en los mismos pueblos y ciudades.

Aquí, los paisajes se exponen como testigos del paso del tiempo, enmarcando las conexiones que se levantan entre la esfera de las historias públicas,  del ámbito social, y la esfera de las historias privadas, del ámbito personal.

The series of drawings Far from here, right here are configured in the relationships arising from the connection of two sources. On one hand, images that I extracted from press archives, related to socio-environmental conflicts; and on the other, a selection of personal photographs belonging to my family. Both records were taken in the same towns and cities.

Here, the landscapes are exposed as witnesses of the passage of time, framing the connections that arise between the scope of public histories, the social sphere, and the scope of private histories, of the personal sphere.
